OP, you better not drive the 500' to the compressor. You need to bring it to your tire or you'll ruin them! :S
Sorry Johnny T, but there are a bunch of old maids on here. Going 6 miles at 30 mph is not going to hurt anything. Granted since he can air it up... he should, but what if your are on the road. Are you going to sit there and wait for ERS to come out or drive slowly to the next town? I've driven further than that after a blow out and the good tire was still going strong 10K miles later. A 8R19.5 at 90 psi is good for 3000lbs and for each 5 psi you loose 125 of load carrying. At 65 psi your are at 2410 and at 40 you'd be at 1800 lbs... a 40% overload. Not enough to hurt a tire in 6 miles at a slow speed. I've got my fire suit on so flame away.
