Using ANY type lube just goes around the problem which is worn out inner seals. HWH jack cylinders are IMMERSED in ATF when retracted. The ONLY maintenance is to make sure the shiny piston is clean. If your HWH jacks retract slowly or you have to lever them completely up, then the odds are the inner seals are worn and rebuild or replacement is the CORRECT procedure. If cost keeps you from replacing the cylinders, then you have to go thru the clean and wipe routine 2 or 3 times a month. Your springs might need replaced, but to check for that is simple. If you can push on a jack with your hand and it fully retracts, you need new springs. If it takes extra force(lever) to retract, it is NOT your springs but the inner seals. Doug
