Lubing the HWH Jacks with what ?

I have a 2004 Tiffin Phaeton with jacks that have begun to be slow when coming up and almost need a boost with a 2.4 to make it back up into the housing to be ready for the road. Do I need to lube them somehow ? I have heard some say no lube but I cant imagine metal on metal like that and no lube. If I am to lube them will just WD-40 work or should I use a dry lube or what is your best suggestion ?
  • hwh recommends using wd40 to clean the shafts.
look at the springs. are they old style, or do they have the new style cone shaped ends. if so, maybe they are rusted or have a lot of road grime on them. cleaning or replacing the springs will help.
