Macerator Pumps
I want to permanently install a macerator pump to empty tanks. I find it hard to find specs on the different pumps-Thetford, Johnson, Flojet, Jabsco. Please provide your choice of pumps and/or syste...

Just came across this post.... here is my experience....
My Sani-Con System came with my Monaco coach when I purchased it new. Worked great and then it stopped. I called Thetford and they were extremely helpful. Said if I gave them the model number they would send me a owners and parts manual and I could order the parts directly from them. (www.thetford.com) The parts manual has the breakdown of exactly how to take it apart. (very simple). I emailed them the part numbers and they sent me the parts. The problem I had and this is true with all macerating pumps is that they don't handle hair well at all. My wife was always washing her hair in the kitchen sink and eventually it clogged up the blades. The manuals are on the internet and if you call them they will explain everything to you. I have a clean out plug on my sewer line next to my house. When I get home, I just extend my san-con hose to my clean out plug and I have my own "dump station". Everything is very clean and sanitary and private. You can order an extra hose to extend the original hose farther.
