Maiden trip results in our 2006 Winnebago Outlook

We did a two night trip and 300+ miles in our RV this weekend and only had a few issues. Has anyone encountered any of these and have advice?

1) During load on the engine, Ford E-450, the A/C quits blowing out the normal vents and starts coming out the defrost and heater vents by your feet. When the load returns to normal so does the direction of the air. The air is always ice cold.

2) Twice the slide needed a little helping push to starting going out. Never had a problem coming in.

3) Some water is dripping from the outside access to the hot water heater, more like condensation. Drips down the side of the RV. This only happens when the hot water is on.

All in all a pretty successful first run. In two weeks I will try it pulling my Rzr trailer.

This could get addictive!

  • I have read that some cars will switch to defrost vents when there is a vacuum leak. Maybe under load the truck is pulling on a tiny crack in the tubes and opens it up???
