main slide squeeks

How many of you ride with your main slide less than tight to accommodate for squeaks ?

  • The slide lubricant made for the seals does a good job of protecting the rubber as well as stop the squeaks. You can order it online or pick some up at Camping World or any other RV supply store.
  • My bed room slide would squeal, so I but candle wax on the bottom.
    Easy fix.
  • Maybe you can treat the rubber seal with a lubricant that is made for rubber.

Once a year I would treat the seals on our 2008 Dynasty to keep them supple.

    MM.
  • I would guess NONE. If properly adjusted, slides will not squeak or rattle in transit. IF the RV came equipped with slide locks, USE THEM, that is why they are there. NOT using them on some Slides will cause Squeaks and rattles. Doug
