Really IMHO it boils down to $$$ in general a DP has a better ride and climbs hills with less noise. They are longer and weigh more. But those things come at a price. Would it be safe to say that a DP comes with a price tag of $59,000 more than a gasser. Sure if you want someone elses used coach you can compare a 10 year old coach to a recent gasser. I will get to anywhere a DP goes maybe a little bit behind. When I set up there is little difference in my Gas coach and a DP. I have a wonderfully built high quality coach with most of what I have wanted.
BTW I race dp's up long grades ( or short ones) with my 2001 Saturn V-6 I have never lost one of those races.
