Yes. Do not use Koolseal on your roof. (Koolseal is a brand name of a roofing compound commonly found on older trailers. Absolutely do not use it on a rubber roof or on anytype of RV, or you will be paying $$$$$$$$ to fix the damage.
A tarp or something like a shed should help. If you are on the road, I suggest using your A/C(s) to cool down.

I have seen Koolseal or similar brands applied on rubber RV roofs and no issues, have not done mine yet but my neighbor has it on his and no issues after 4 years, can you let us know what the issues are since its all just rubber.

  • Its for heat. Not really sealing out water. Its just so hot inside sitting in the sun. I dont know if koolseal would help but im willing to try anything that will help. I even thought about rigging some kind of tarp over it to reflect the sun some. Any ideas ??
  • If you what is commonly called a rubber roof, Dicor sells what you need. If its a metal or fiberglas roof, all you need is a seam sealer like eternabond tape.
