GSP is OK....as mentioned before, do not take the tunnels. Look at a map and avoid NYC or anything near it. Then, take I-95 and stay on it....take the bypass routes around Baltimore, DC and Richmond. If I recall correctly, those bypass routes are I495,I-695 and I 295.
From what I recall, no easy-on-easy-off cgs...or ANY kind of campgrounds until you're south of Maryland. I might be wrong on that.......
