I'm looking now since quite a while for a used RV and I noticed that Class C's that are 26 ft long (or longer) are significantly less expensive that the shorter ones that are no longer than 24 ft. ...

resucami, You mentioned 300 + miles travel as a bit far to travel in search of your rig. You may/ should reject several/many units in search of the “right” one. We traveled approximately 9600 miles, and rejected numerous units before buying our 5 er. Take your time, study, be critical.....mistakes can be costly! Just pretend that your search for the correct unit is a “vacation” and see the country while you shop! “Not” suggesting you go to this extreme, but it’s nice to “do it right” the first time!
