If you're trying to cool your bedroom, you don't want it in there. Using it as a whole house cooling unit, you want it the farthest away from the bedroom so that it draws cool air into the bedroom and out through the fan. If you mount it in the bedroom and draw cool air from up front, it won't be very cool by the time it reaches the bedroom.
