MCD power shade stuck: beeps

Unless you are somewhat experienced mechanic, I would suggest you take it to repair shop. I just replaced the motor in my night shade. I had many lessons learned and thinking back, it would have been better to take it to a good shop. My shade was not moving even though the motor could be heard to be turning. Then it was just beeping.

On my 2008 Mandalay this will happen sometimes and I will reach under the dash at the back of the switch and wiggle the wires and it will work again for a while then I do it again. Maybe once a month.

Go to MCD's web site and look for instructions to "Re-Program" the shade. You'll find the small push button switch tucked up behind the shades on the right hand side, they'll be stuffed up in there at the end of the roller someplace. Then its a matter of pushing the button and then moving the shade to the lower limits you want it to go with the ignition key on for when driving and using the shade as a sun visor, and the key off for when parked.
