MCD Shade not retracting...

Our new Jayco Greyhawk has MCD manual shades. One is now, not retracting. Pull it down and you have to roll it up by hand.

I assume I have to pull it off/down in order to repair.

There's little room between the valance and the shade and the wall. Does anyone know if the valance comes down easily? Or should I just suck it up and unscrew the clips from the valance?
