Medal or rubber waterhoses

My medal water hoses on our 2004 cat 330 are soft and rusted. Can these be replaced with rubber water hoses?
  • Your top and bottom radiator hoses are RUBBER. There is no metal in them to RUST. There is no metal on the outside of them to RUST. Not sure what you're talking about here. I just replaced our hoses on our '04 Itasca Horizon 36GD with the CAT C-7 and, there's no metal in any of those hoses. Just get the ones that belong on there and you'll be fine.

  • Both upper and lower water hoses leading from engine to the radiator. Not sure if rubber hoses would collapse and restrict the flow to the radiator.
  • Ok,
Now that we've got the terminology straightened out, just exactly WHAT metal coolant hose/tube are you speaking of? We have an '04 Itasca Horizon 36GD with the CAT C-7 330HP and, I just changed out 99% of the heater and radiator hoses but, there were no METAL ones. The only metal involved in the coolant operation are my two "Motor Aid" elbows that are used in routing coolant to the water heater heat exchanger. Those were rusted when we purchased the coach, 7 years ago. So, I replaced them with Copper ones since I couldn't find the identical steel bent ones. But, which metal ones are you speaking of?
