What blue stuff? If you mean DEF fluid, it's not blue. It costs us right at $12.00 per 6k miles for the fluid bought at WalMart. It would be even less if we filled up at truck stop pumps with DEF. Not the least bit of a concern with an RV cost wise. Now if I were an expediter, putting 100k miles per year on my diesel, then it would be worth a second look to save a $.
I'm with DavyDD, this B5/20 issue has gotten way too much worry put into it. Care for your diesel like the manual says. Check the oil regularly and use the correct oil for an MB diesel. Use name brand fuel and change your fuel filter at 20k mile intervals.
