Sully, I always liked your informative posts and opinions on the Class A forum and it is good to see you over on the Class C forum. We had a 39' DP and towed a Jeep Patriot, but decided to make life simple and bought a 2013 Via 25T. We love it because it is so simple to set up and disconnect, and a dream to drive. In Colorado we get 15-16mpg and in the flatlands about 17-18mpg. Although I still have all of my tow bars and the Jeep, I have never felt the need to tow it. We now get off the highway as soon as possible and enjoy all the back roads and small towns in this great country. Most of the time we spend 2 or 3 days in one campground, and use the Via for sightseeing and shopping when we move on to the next campground. We have 27,000 miles on it and had 2 services from Mercedes which are pricey, about $450, but the engine runs like a charm. We have parked for 1 or 2 weeks in AZ, and rented a car and it just seems a lot easier than having a toad. You have a good Winnebago dealer in Dayton, Lewis RV, and I understand they have great pricing on new and used MB Winnies. Let us know if you need more information. I am in my 70's and this has brought a new era of exciting rv trips.
I appreciate the comments.
It MIGHT JUST BE that I'll be trading for a new Thor Siesta. Lots smaller and IM TOLD will have sufficient power to satisfy me..???
