Mercerdes Deisel

I just purchased a 2008 Mandalay Presideo 39 Foot class A. It has 19000 miles and has never had an oil change for the prime mover. I have a Mercedes Diesel, I think a model 902. I have no paperwork on the motorhome.

Would any of you know what kind of oil filters, oil dryers, water filters, etc that the Mercedes would use. I really need the part numbers. Do you know of any other filters etc that I might need. I understand I must use synthetic oil.

I have the needed filters/oil on the generator which is a generact.

Thanx guys for all your help. At my age I need all I can get.

  • Freightliner did install some MB engines-- around 7.2 liters as I recall.

I have not worked on them.

Strongly suggest you contact Freightliner, Gaffney with your Freightliner VIN for more information.
  • Bobby....When my coach was new, I had no idea what some of the filter numbers were, but knew which ones I needed. I went to the local Freightliner shop and gave them my VIN. They had every part in stock. The Mercedes may not be as popular, but they could order the parts for you.

Once you find the numbers, make sure you buy an extra set of fuel filters that you can keep in the coach.
  • Our diesel is a 3.0L Turbo and this is what I have found so far: Check in your manual.

  • it is on a freightliner chassis. good thought about calling them. my earlier mh was a Monaco and they made their own chassis. good to know. thanx bobby
  • What chassis is it built on? You can always call Freightliner or Spartan and ask, they should be able to look it up by VIN#
