Metal Hood Hinge bonded to Fiberglass Hood-Adheasive ?

I have a 2012 Winnebago Itasca with the metal hood hinge broken away from the front fiberglass panel. I'm sure this isn't the first time for this type of event to occur. My question is what kind of adhesive would work to bond this flat metal hood hinge to the fiberglass.

  • 3M panel bond adhesive. Bonds just about anything. Definitely will work for metal to fiberglass. Just rough up the metal before attaching. You will need a way to keep pressure on it so it doesn’t separate as it cures, takes 24hours.
  • 3M 5200 will make that repair permanent. I have made that same type of with excellent results.
  • Good Morning,

Did any of these solutions work for you? Just curious if you used one of the suggestions or something else. I had a headlight bracket come loose (looks exactly like what you shared) and was wondering what to use to re-attach it. Was thinking 3M panned adhesive but interested in what you figured out!

    Thanks
  • I would look at jb weld. They make all kinds of adhesives.
  • I've had real good results for just this kind of repair with Loctite 2 part Epoxy "Metal" (Home Depot).
