Sorry that happened.
TLDR: Michelin & child company tires seem to suck bad in hot weather climates over the better part of the last decade..at least as seen thru my eyeballs.
My .02: Back 6-7 years ago Michelin & anything downstream they have a hand in (like BF Goodrich) started showing signs of way premature dry rotting.... at least around where I live in the Desert SW. After having run BFG's on my pickups since the late 80s & a mix of Michelin &/or BFGs on my other cars throughout those same years I had to walk away.
Had 2 sets of BFG ATs on a 1-ton pickup needed replaced after about 2 years due to dry rot. Here's the gag.... those sets of tires dry rotted worse on the INSIDE than the outside. I also had a set of Michelin's that just would not stay balanced & had to be traded out for another brand.
I've had great luck with E-rated Coopers (& Nitto's but they tend to wear a bit faster than the Coopers I've had) since having to give up on Michelin related tires.
