microwave convection oven

Hi Everyone.....

I am trying to locate someone by either email or phone that would be willing to talk to me about how to use the convection part of the Dometic microwave convection oven. The cooking instructions were very skimpy and I am having a hard time getting the hang of it. Unfortunately the dometic folks were no help......Thanks

  • I have the On the Go Microwave book. It is very helpful and nice to have when you need a little refresher course.
  • Foopy, tried to drop you a Private message...PM...but you have them turned off unless one is on your buddy list. Either add me or change the settings in your profile.....Dennis
  • Check out this website Microwaveconnect

DW purchased several of her cookbooks. She also attended one of Janet's presentations at the GoodSam Daytona rally and learned a lot. Highly recommend to go to one of her class/presentations if you ever get a chance.
  • update...
I also attempted to contact Dale Withers regarding his review of the microwave in this months Motorhome magazine. It sounds like he really knows how to use this product. GoodSam club cannot release any contact info to me so maybe if he reads the forum he will see this message and contact me. THANKS
  • I have found not much differance from a regular oven. I generally use the preheat setting, set the temp I need then when it tells me to place food in the oven I set the time for what is called for. I keep an eye on it as it gets close to the end time. If I need to add more time I just do it the same way. Use the preheat button,Leave food in there, wait for it to tell me to place food in oven, just open the door, close it and put in the additional time I may need. Use it for everything, homemade bread, pizza, cake, cookies, pies, roasts, etc. Good Luck, Wally's DW
  • We use ours just like we do a conventional oven. Just set the temp according to the recipe. Cooking time may be a little different, but generally not much. But things will not brown as much on the bottom like they do in a conventional oven since the heat does not originate from the bottom.
  • Send my wife a PM....she's an expert...:B....to me anyway...she uses hers for chocolate chip cookies, homemade pizza, peanut brittle etc.....Dennis
