I currently have a 2004 Minnie 22E and are looking to upgrade to one with a bed in the back. The 25B has the dinette on the passenger side and a jackknife sofa on the driver's side like our does. We really like this configuration. Only cons are it's built on the E-350 chassis instead of the E-450, black tank holds only 23 gallons and gray 27. Our's holds 30 and 32. Question, does only the toilet only dump into the black or is it like mine and the sink also does. Shower and kitchen sink go into the gray.On my Minnie, the batteries are in a separate exterior compartment and it appears that on the 25B they are in the step. Question, are there 2 batteries (probably group 24) and is there room for 2 Trojan 6 volt batteries when replaced?My Minnie has a 138" wheel base and the 25B has 182". That's a plus.Now the big question, my Minnie only has 660LBS of CCC, that's after water, fuel and people. Not much!. Any idea what the 25B has?25B does have the 5 speed transmission, our is 4 speed. I would guess the MPG is going to be about the same as I am getting now on the 22E which is 8.5-10mpg. Any comments?

Look inside the clothes closet in the RV you are considering. On the wall will be a sticker with all the specs for for THAT particular MH and should give you the correct answers you are looking for on that paricular model!IMHO why not look at the 29/31 foot? You are upgrading like ALL of us seem to do. It's the nature of the beast of RV'ing!:B But why only a mere 3ft? It almost is negligible as far as gaining ccc and storage space and a lot of give and take to just get the bed. And on the newer ones they slant the back end and you really are only getting maybe a foot and half extra actual inside space. Just saying.The 29 or 31 foot will get you a nice queen size walk around bed. Can't begin to tell you how much "I" appreciate that option..Good Luck on finding just the right new MH for you and your family. :C

We have a 24 Coachmen, E350, slide with about the same CCC. After people fuel etc. Never has been a problem. If we are really running heavy ( GD, bikes, toys an so forth) We probably run a 100 to 200 lbs over weight. Never worried about that too much.I would consider the four corner weights to be an important factor. Ours is very well balanced. So that occasional extra weight is well distributed. One would not want to overload the right rear for instance.

We are can only fit up to 27 feet in our driveway.We are also considering the Winnebago Vista 26HE and the Fleetwood Flair 26D. One issue with both is we want the dinette on the passenger side not the driver's side. Vista 26HE has been on sale for $69,999 on occasion and we think we may be able to get the Flair 26D at around $75,000. The Flair is super really loaded, but it's 27'10" and may not fit in the driveway. Leaves little maneuvering room and is huge at 12' high. The Vista is 26'11' and would just fit in the driveway. Also 12' tall. Yes, I know about where to look for the onboard specs, but the closest dealer with the Minnie 25B is out in Ventura about 65 miles away. May go to the Fleetwood dealer 2 miles away and test drive it bringing it home and try it in the driveway. Teasing the salesman since we are still looking at all options.

I would guess those 26 models exceed your 27 ft available. does that fleetwood have a tpo or rubber roof?bumpy

If you have a max of 27 ft I would measure the Vista to make sure the measurements in the brochure are exact. JMODon

Unfortunately, the Lazy Daze is about $30,000 more than we can afford. We are looking at $70,000.

x2. You can access all pertinent info on line. The factory visit is very worthwhile and absolutely no pressure. We have a 2011 27' mid-bath and love it. The two beds in the back can slide together in the aisle and make one huge King bed if you want to snuggle.

Other info for you. The dinette is curbside, the cabinets are all California Maple, no particle board. E450 chassis, 2961 pounds of OCCC (does not include fresh water). Fresh water tank 58 gallons, 35 gallons gray, 28 gallons black, propane 14 gals. Roof is one piece aluminum, body is all aluminum panels, full paint (aircraft grade), and came with a full-size spare. Two 6 volt AGM batts. wired in series, and a solar panel which generally keeps the batts. fully charged.

You buy direct from factory, no dealers to worry about or haggle with over price. You pay (and everyone pays) their price. Ford provides warranty for truck, and appliance manufacturers provide warranty for their stuff.

Splurge and get the 27' mid bath lazy daze. You are in CA and can go to the factory. I bet your wife would LOVE the light and the layout. It would last forever and have great resale value. Plus they say it is a year's wait at least. Not a walk around bed though. I actually like the rear kitchen layout too. But $92,000 without extras and plus CA taxes! Yikes.

We have looked at that MH. Only one house battery and no room to expand, no oven and also no gravity feed on fresh water. No counter space. dark, no ladder or spare tire. Biggest thing is the DW didn't like it.

The Vista/Sunstar are 27'1". It will fit, but with lots of maneuvering up and back to move it over to the wall allowing my cars to park in the driveway. The Flair 26D 27'10" we test drove and got to try parking in the driveway way really difficult and required the help of the salesman to get it in. The DW is not the best at helping me park, anywhere.
My other option is to move the birch tree we put in 18 months ago

I wonder why Winnebago/Itasca are using E350s with 11,500# GVWRs. I've seen other manufacturers with E350s that have 12,500# GVWRs

I think you hit on all the points of that Winnie. Though I will say there are plenty of motorhomes on the road on the E450 chassis and 32' long that have your OCCC or even less. The point being with a shorter coach with less space to put 'stuff', its easier to stay under.

water is 333 lbs. but only if you carry a full 40 gallons, in tank and WH, etc. If DW wants that one, get that one.

Went and saw the 25B Minnie today. The CCC is 1847 lbs minus 383 lbs for the water. Take away another 300 lbs for the DW and myself leaves 1164 for food, clothing, toys and the dog.
There is no spare, but room in the storage compartment and only 1 battery, a group 24. I can see where we may get close to the GVWR of 11,500 lbs.
No outside shower, winterization setup or gravity fill.
No curtain for back corner bed or cabover bed.
The fresh water is 40gallons black is 23 and gray is 27. This MH is not built for off the grid dry camping for more than a day or two.
But it does have the dinette on the passenger side and a sofa on the driver's side that the DW really wants.
