I never did serve, being just young enough to register right before the war ended. I have infinite respect for those who did serve. My father-in-law did three tours with Force Recon...to get away from a woman!!! My own father climbed power poles in Korea.
My friends who are active, wonder about the decisions. The camouflage changes, and cutbacks in their benefits grate on some. The VA debacle is another biggie. The budget cuts seem to be in all the wrong places.
