Minor electrical glitch

Wow, no idea.. Do you have someone local who has hooked up a lot of trailers? RV trailers, boat trailers, U-Haul trailers.. Drop by and ask them.

non required.Iam very capable of repairing it.I was hoping like minded pople may have run into this type of deal and save me a lot of DD and go right to the problem.I can always figure it out on my own

Usually toad electrical problems are caused by a poor ground connection some where in the wiring. If you are using the hitch as your ground connection, that may be what is causing the problem. Try a jumper cable from the coach frame to the toad frame and see if that helps.

OK If bad ground> why only left side blinker and only while headlites are on?

Would be nice to know a little about what type of MH you have?
I had a signal problem with mine (Freight liner chassis)a while back ended up finding that I had miss wired a clearance light on the coach. It messed up the electronic control unit for the lighting. Once corrected everything worked fine.
Check all wiring to toad. even a little back feed I think can confuse the electronics in the MH.

A bad ground sometimes cause electric feedback issues and can provide many different, weird, acting light problems. Remember you are working on an isolated electrical system with rubber tires acting as the insulator. For all of the lights to operate as they should, 12 volt power has to get to each light element and 12 volt power must return to the source through the ground. I have seen blinkers reverse, etc, all because of a poor ground. Just saying that a poor ground can cause weird problems that do not always make sense.

I suspect a grounding/wiring problem with your left rear toad tail and brake lights or in your connection plug.

I know that some of the advice you received doesn't really make a lot of sense when you really analyze your problem but: Please do the simple test of using a pair of jumper cables from your tow vehicle to the toad. If things did work at one time and now don't, its very likely its a bad ground or the toad is getting what it perceives as a ground from another source.
Doing the battery cable connection will at least remove one item from the problem solving.

I totally understand about grounds and what weird things can happen but from my many experiences (eg) bad ground from toad to MH u get all kinds of lite problems not just one real weird symptom.Its definetly not a ground problem from the MH to the Toad.I think what im going to do is disconnect one headlite then the other to see if that causes things to work normal as I suspect its a headlite wire /ground problem maybe? anyhow thanks for replys and I will let U know when and If I figure it out in next couple days
One thing I never mentioned is I can put park/run/ clearence lites on and it works fine.just not with headlites

stick a volt meter on the car chassis and on the rv chassis
observe for any dc voltage
then turn on the headlights and observe again.

If you have a bad ground it should show up as a voltage difference between the two.
