Monaco Keyless Entry Pad Code

Just in case someone reading has been unable to locate the keyless entry pad code on their Monaco (possibly other RV's also), I thought I'd share my findings. I called Monaco and they suggested I look inside the locked compartment in front of the driver's side front tire. In the upper right hand corner, there is a white box with a label on the outside (some reference to Ford security system). There is a large printed 5 digit code on the label that is the code to unlock the coach. The standard code to lock the coach is to press the furthest two right pad buttons (7/8 and 9/0) simultaneously. I hope this helps someone out there in RV.net land.
  • I looked all over for that button on my coach. I found it behind the radio and heater controls while looking for something else. They can be hidden.
  • I'll have to look for that button again, Paul. Based on your explanation of how you found yours, I might look more closely. Either way, I now have a code to unlock my door. To lock, I just slide the lever on the door to lock it behind me when we leave, so no need for the touch pad for locking. Thanks.
  • Mine is under the cup holder in the passenger side arm rest. It's just a simple button on a wire that's not fastened to anything.....

I looked for that button and couldn't find it. I wanted to change it, but without that button, I'm dead in the water. Frankly, I'm not too concerned. I just thought for those who may be searching, I'd give them a short cut that I found. Thanks for your comment!
  • I don't have a keyless entry and I'm curious if they are setup so you CAN use a key?

I have, errr HAD, a keyless entry on my sticks and bricks home and finally removed it. It was battery operated and unless you changed the batteries every couple months it wouldn't work too well.

Another good reason to change you code. What year is your coach and if previously owned, then the owner left it at the factory setting? Changing the code is very easy using the button under the passenger arm rest for those coaches using the Essex system.
