Not exactly true, The MaxxForce 10 used in most of the Navistar built units wad EPA approved and is a great engine and no DEF. Only the larger engines had the EPA issues.
Yes the Maxxforce 10 used in the Knight and Diplomat was 2010 EPA compliant. The Maxxforce 13 used in the Dynasty was not EPA compliant and that was the engine that Navistar had all of there problems with.
We bought a 2013 Diplomat to full time in and after 2-1/2 years are extremely happy with it.
Will say that we did look at the ARG version of the Dynasty and Diplomat at the Pahrump Monaco International Rally last March. While they are now very different they still we're really nice coaches. Would definitely give them a serious look if in the market.
