Despite Monaco being on it's third owner, it's customer support has been excellent all of the time although I've rarely needed it. I'm partial to the big Monaco/Beaver/HR/Safari with 10 airbags because of their excellent handling and 9000+ lbs of CCC. The new Monaco's do not use the 8 outboard airbags and I did not drive any last summer as I plan on using my 04 Dynasty for another 10-15 years. Also, all of the new ones were rear bath and a half... not what I'd want. If I have to replace my 04 I'll look for a 04-07 EXE with a Detroit 60 engine. Guess who else is semi monocouque with 10 airbags and a Detroit engine... Prevost, Newell, and Foretravel.
The Monaco Dynasty Bishop is a 38' MH with a tag axle... not sure why and not sure why you'd want a MH that short. Out West we boondock often in USFS CGs in our 42' by showing up Monday, not Friday.
The Navistar years are 2010-2013 and have gotten a bad rap because their engines did not meet the EPA's ever increasing mandates. The few I've personally seen looked to be well built and there are lots of their engines out there in trucks so getting it worked on would be possible.
While the newer Diplomats have tags, they did not before around 2009. Before 09 you want to look at Dynasty, EXE, and SIG (top of the line). Today a Dynasty is closer to EXE in options and HP (500+) as the EXE has been dropped.
So 04-to 07 are good years, notwithstanding an inspection?
So on the 40' foot issue. There are special restrictions in california, for anthing above 40 feet. My question is that if my RV is 40' 6" will i know be subject to those restrictions? Or are they more leniant...?
