Better late than never, I figured I'd close this one off.
I found an older overbuilt lift on craigslist in Minneapolis for $1000. Owner brought it to Chicago for $200 :)
Shop charged me way to much to put the outboard receivers back on, and put them on 3/4" too wide to boot. I fixed that by widening the lift to fit. It's all pinned together, so it was easier than it sounds.
Unit had a hand crank, I picked up a 2000 pound electric winch, doubled the pulley's, and it brings the bike up nice and easy in just a couple seconds.
This lift has a center reciever where our towbar plugs in to pull the jeep. PO of the lift said he pulled a tahoo with it...
Nice because nothing has to come apart, don't even have to take the towbar off to load and unload the bike.
