And that is where you want to talk to those looking to change the rules. Every area around here has either grandfathered in every existing RV, boat, or trailer, or given close to 5 years to comply. This is to avoid lawsuits from people that bought an expensive toy and followed all of the rules, only to have them change the rules. Previously this led to many lawsuits, where the courts sided with the homeowners, that cost the communities a lot of money. Now, they have learned and they will always grandfather in an existing vehicle but you usually have to do some paperwork to document it. Don't just roll over with your existing RV unless you want to.
