When has buying a motorhome ever made good financial sense? LOL! If you want a new one, buy one!
BINGO....I've been working my whole life and buy and sell whatever I want!!! It's completely up to us how and when we spend our money. - derouen6ExplorerWe love our 2004 Tropi-Cal. It still looks almost new in and out. Has been trouble free.
But....we really want a shorter DP. If I could cut 3 feet off I would never sell it. - Executive45Explorer III

I replace mine after 10 years so I can visit those campgrounds that have a '10 year rule". I don't like to be in violation....:W.....Dennis
And I thought your wife was too smart to fall for that. Guess my 04 may have to become a 06... then a 07.:W
I thought we were talking about wives....:W:W:W...guess I'll have to reread the questions....:B:B:B.....Dennis - tinkererExplorerMine ia a 2007 with a 2066 pre-emission diesel with 42000 miles. With talking with truckers with the newer engines they have been a bundle of expensive trouble. Motorhome people seem to getting along with them but I believe if you give them time they could be in for expensive repairs and am not interested in those problems. So I am thinking we will be running ours for some time. So far the coach is in good shape except for the carpeting which we plan on replacing. Not interested in a gas.;)
- ncrowleyExplorer IIIf you do not want to deal with replacement of items that will break or need maintenance, AND you have the money, then trade it in and get a new one. Personally, I cannot afford to purchase a new one so I maintain and update the one I have and have lots and lots of fun with it.

- subtrollExplorerWe have 127k miles on our 2004 National DP and know it will last longer than we will. I've made so many small improvements that I would not want to start all over again. We never had a single warranty issue and our maintenance has been minimal. We repainted it two years ago so it seems like a new rig. We spend half of every year enjoying it and I can't think of any reason to upgrade. I already have four computers, three GPS units, satellite TV, WIFI, a comfortable bed and a happy wife.
- warolandExplorerOur coach is 13 years old and looks much newer. If a campground has a 10 year old rule it is to keep out RV's that are in bad shape. We just upgraded the shades to MCD's and in the process of replacing the flooring. So we plan to keep it until we can't work for Jesus. By the way it has less than 30K miles on it.
- Sully2ExplorerIm like many owners..Mine is 15 years old this year and nothing in the new models at anything remotely close to what Id pay is available.
I need ONE ceramic tile in the hallway reset and thats it.
I'll be keeping mine for a while yet...at 53K miles on it...its far from worn out - rgatijnet1Explorer IIISimple, I replace mine whenever I see a coach I like better than what I have. It has varied between 2 and 7 years.
