Motorhome with 2 toilets

We are considering buying a 2010 Fleetwood Fiesta LX that has a mid and a rear bathroom. Anyone know what kind of sewer setup is used for two toilets? It appears from brochure there is only one black water tank. My experience has only been with gravity (straight drop down) type. Any comments are appreciated.

We have two commodes in ours. The mid half bath has a conventional straight drop down Teffort Commode which is directly over the black tank. The full bath in the back has a commode with a macerator and pump which pumps directly to the black tank in the middle. We have had no problems in a little over three years. Yes it uses a little more water but not that much. We have one gray and one 90 gallon black tank. we can get 6-7 day on our black tank. We like the set up and we will get the same set up in our next coach.

Well I have a 2005 Damon Intruder 377W and you described it.

Now this varies from RV to RV but here is how mine is set up
Front "half bath" toilet is a common Sea-Land Gravity Type Standard RV toilet
Rear "main Bath" has a nice Tetfored macerator unit that pumps it up to the black tank amid-ships

Front lav, and Kitchen have a gray tank, which for dumping is the standard RV Gray/Black setup like single bath RVs.. Rear Lavs and shower have a 2nd Gray tank, technically a "Wash" tank since the kitchen sink is not included, that I dump differently.

Other setups... Basically reverse the Gravity/Macerator toilets.. Some combine the gray tanks, some do not. But all in all I liked it.

In fact.. As a Single RVer, I do not need two toilets, but when my wife was alive more than once the phrase "2 holes no waiting" was a .... Well, let's just say it was great.. Cause with only one hole "We'd have had a situation".

Our Winnebago Journey has the rear full bath with a macerator toilet. The half bath is directly over the black tank and has a conventional toilet.

If you do a lot of boondocking or stay in campgrounds without a sewer connection, the macerator is a bit problematic because it does use a lot more water. In our old Holiday Rambler, we could get around 10 day on our black tank. The new Winnebago only goes about four days using the macerator.
  • Great question! If you have a coach built at the factory a RV engineer can have two toilets done going into one tank. I talked to a engineer at HR on the phone about this and he said it can be done on certain floor plans.

  • Some have two tanks with one outlet as ours does but we have a pump to move the waste out of the front tank, others do not need the pump. We haven't had trouble with it,but.........an arrangement with out the need to move the waste with A pump would be less to worry about. Good luck with your search.
