Motorhome won't start

We just picked up the Motorhome, started perfectly, we drove it home about a hour and a half. Husband pulls it into driveway. Decides to straighten it out. But when he turns key all he gets is a buzzing, if he pushes on the break it gets a bit louder. Our driveway is on a slop, should not matter. So what are your thoughts? Lights and radio working fine.

Thanks
  • You probably have separate batteries for the house stuff and the engine stuff. (Maybe not but most MHs do)

Look for a button on the dash near the driver that says auxiliary start or battery boost or something like that. This allows you to connect your house battery bank to the engine battery. This will help start the engine.

The buzzing has me wondering that maybe you have something that is an error-do not start thing. Maybe the emergency brake has to be on, all slides have to be in or a leveling jack isn't all the way up. If I turn my key on with the jacks down, I get a constant ding. Maybe you have a steps down alarm or something.

Hopefully someone will be along soon with the same make, model and year to give you more specifics.

    Good luck.

Also it was driven yesterday, slides were brought in as they were out when we went to pick up, and it started then.

Do you have a battery boost switch? Try that.

We have no idea if we have a battery boost switch. 1999 Rexhall Aerbus, we just drove the thing home. It has started perfectly all the times we have been to see it so on, and tonight to pickup and bring home perfect start.
