Mounting large TV... Ceiling?

Oh no, another deep freezer winter? :( Hopefully we're out of here in early winter but that's not guaranteed yet. As for destination, definitely south lol We're thinking southwest first and probably will spend a lot of time in the 4 corners states.

Now that you said that, I believe we have an overhead cabinet as well; right where I want the TV, too!

I am using it on a 19 inch unit.
Luckily I had an overhead cabinet that I through bolted the mount to. It has worked flawlessly for over one year.
The unit swivels so that I can aim it towards our dinette or other places.

Emaay, I'll definitely post pics of however we end up doing it. I need to check out the ceiling and see what we're working with first, but hopefully there's some supports up there somewhere that we can use.

Granted the new TVs are a lot lighter than the old ones, but do you really want it hanging on the ceiling? Can you really tell what you're going to be anchoring it to in the ceiling? we took out our original tube TV because it was both old and starting to pull away from the ceiling. The new flat screen is a lot lighter and I anchored it a lot better. The roads are getting worse all of the time. Every time you hit another pot hole or another joint on the cement roads, the jolt will be trying to pull that TV off of the ceiling. Anchor it a lot better than you would in your house.
