MPG in your C or super C

What kind of fuel mileage do you get in your class C or super C?

Most of the C's are gas, I think the super C's are diesel?

I dont own a motorhome, doing my homework right now to figure out operating costs.

So if you don't mind let me know the MPG, RV size, engine (engine size, gas/diesel, Ford/Chevy).

Thanks !!!!!

    I'm guessing Gonzo has ---

My 29ft, Ford V-10 Gas, C, gets 8-9 MPG, depending on driving conditions.

  • For some reason people have the expectation that a C gets better mileage than an A. Often that is not the case, they are around the same numbers. The C has poorer aerodynamics. The A has better aerodynamics, but much greater weight.

You might do a bit better with a rig without the overhead cab bed. They're a bit more steam-lined and might get you 1-2 mpg better, depending on how big you go.

How fast you drive makes a HUGE difference depending on your rig. Slowing from 70 to 65 or 65 to 60 can make a 20% difference.
  • Our super c we averaged 7 mpg on 7500 mile trip. Most times we hit the 6 to 8 range.
  • A 2000 24 ft Class C with V10 on a recent round trip of
1400 miles averaged 8.5 MPG towing the CRV on the dolly.
    Mostly interstates at 62 - 65 MPH.
