You do notice the Genuine Genturi does not connect that way. There is an air gap for a reason. Do you think they used extra parts to create an air gap for no reason?
Air flow is not strictly based on pipe diameter. There are other factors.
It would have been real convenient for the Genturi people to use flexible pipe vs. solid pie as well. They chose solid pipe for a reason.
What is shown is a 4" dryer duct laying over the exhaust pipe calling it a Genturi is a stretch
