Back pressure going from 1" to 3" or is it 4"???... I do not think so.
You do notice the Genuine Genturi does not connect that way. There is an air gap for a reason. Do you think they used extra parts to create an air gap for no reason?
Air flow is not strictly based on pipe diameter. There are other factors.
It would have been real convenient for the Genturi people to use flexible pipe vs. solid pie as well. They chose solid pipe for a reason.
What is shown is a 4" dryer duct laying over the exhaust pipe calling it a Genturi is a stretch
There's plenty of air going through this vent. The exhaust pipe of my generator is about 1.5 inches and this is a 4 inch dryer vent. There is probably less backpressure on my setup than on the Genturi.
BTW, the exhaust pipe on my generator would not facilitate an easy install of the Genturi. It's bent at a 45 degree angle and cut at another angle. This is way easier and I did check the exhaust flow at the top of the dryer vent. It's flowing very nicely.
The real Geturi comes with tips/extensions that would adapt to your existing pipe.
If you believe it's working just like the real thing I won't rain on your parade. What you have is better than nothing.
keep an eye on Craigslist you can find the real thing for a decent price until then be safe
