I haven't owned an E4OD transmission, but it's similar to our 4R100 except your valve body is hydraulic and ours is solenoids. We have a locking torque converter, so I believe you do as well. Is the converter locking when it should? If you're running with it UNlocked, the transmission will get much hotter.
