Go for it. Sold our house about 6 weeks ago. Been full time since March 1. Wife said she does not miss it much and really does not miss the yard work. We are traveling with one dog and one 19 yr old grandson. Loving it. Only complaint is twice having our reservations messed up. Traveling the 101 along the Washington, Orgeon, Calif coast and that is a pain when they mess things up. Both times did online reservations. One night they had use in Mount Rushmore. That would have been a long night of travel from the Pacific ocean.
Other than that we are having a great time stopping at the places we never seemed to have time to see. Spruce Goose, Trees of Mystery, Light houses, jet boat cruise up the Rogue river, national parks.
