Fortunately we made the decision to not replace our two dogs many years ago and now have two cats. Cats are easier to travel with and can be left alone for a day or two plus they do not need to be walked. I have to omit I do not miss our dogs as much as I though I would. Yes you can travel with that many animals, but having to cut short an outing to go walk the dogs is not my idea of retirement. While the Craigslist idea probably offended some, I would start looking for good homes for the dogs, especially if they are large dogs.
Trade the 34' MH for a bigger used DP than you think you need... one with lots of CCC as trading DPs can be expensive. While not FT, we spend three months each winter as snowbirds and usually do three months out West most summers. Good luck on your adventure.
