I found a nice Bounder, but it would not fit through my electric gate beside my house. The 8.5 foot body plus 1 foot for each mirror came out to 10.5 foot. If the mirrors would have folded at the body it would have cleared. It was about 8 inches too wide. :( Do they make mirrors that fold at the body ? Are there Class A's that are less than 8.5 foot wide? I could get the Class C through cause the mirrors are more tucked in at the cab body. DW says go back to a class C, might have to, but would really like an A. Thanks for any info.

Just takes an allen wrench and they turn or take out. I've had to replace two of them.

My coach is 8' and the mirrors fold in at the body with an allen wrench. They are Ramco mirrors.I am in Cottage Grove!

When you loosen the adjustment screws doesn't the mirror move around to the front of the coach?Ours are like These.

the hang out the front 'Elephant ears' are relatively new design
big expensive and a PITA

some side mounts do swing at the body, some don't

BUT to the OP yes, you can replace not folding side mounted, with some that fold

You should be able to get through the gate with the mirrors folded in. We parked our 8' 5.5" wide Winnebago Adventurer in a garage with a 10' wide door for over 12 years. There was 1/4" clearance on each mirror if we went in perfectly straight.

In all the time we parked it there we never touched anything on the way in or out.

A quick google search turned up hundreds of different verities of foldable RV side mirrors.

Should be something that matches up to your current mounting points available.

Are you sure that the mirrors aren't high enough to go over the gate?
