Need a narrow motorhome or folding mirrors at least

I found a nice Bounder, but it would not fit through my electric gate beside my house. The 8.5 foot body plus 1 foot for each mirror came out to 10.5 foot. If the mirrors would have folded at the body it would have cleared. It was about 8 inches too wide. :( Do they make mirrors that fold at the body ? Are there Class A's that are less than 8.5 foot wide? I could get the Class C through cause the mirrors are more tucked in at the cab body. DW says go back to a class C, might have to, but would really like an A. Thanks for any info.

  • that would depend on the year
the hang out the front 'Elephant ears' are relatively new design
    big expensive and a PITA

some side mounts do swing at the body, some don't

BUT to the OP yes, you can replace not folding side mounted, with some that fold
  • When you loosen the adjustment screws doesn't the mirror move around to the front of the coach?
    Ours are like These.

    widen the gate?

Thanks but can't do that. The house is on one side, and the neighbors fence on the other side. It's a driveway that leads to the back of the house where there's lots of room.
  • My coach is 8' and the mirrors fold in at the body with an allen wrench. They are Ramco mirrors.

    I am in Cottage Grove!
  • Just takes an allen wrench and they turn or take out. I've had to replace two of them.
