The problem might be the fan in the heater. Ideally you'd find one with no fan but that would probably be kind of large. You might be able to swap out the fan motor for a 12v DC model.

The heating elements won't care, but the induction motor will. Best case, the fan won't run, worst case, the fan will burn up since it's designed for AC current.
Could use one of those quartz heaters that doesn't have a fan, but they're kinda big for down in a foot well.
