This advice should be attributed to a much senior-to-me fellow RV looker probably 10 yrs ago while I was 'researching' in Lafayette, when we met up in a used 24' C on the sales lot. He simply stated with some personal savvy from a long RV life that "mais, 24 feet long,dat's all anybody needs."
