I need some help finding replacement lock/door handles for our 1988 Winnebago Superchief. Whatever is supposed to go over the mechanism on the inside is completely missing. Originally, the handle could be locked and unlocked from the outside with the key. As of today, it can no longer be locked at all. The deadbolt can be sent in and out from the inside, but turning the key from the outside does nothing except spin around. I could probably manage to replace it if I knew what to order. I am more concerned about the door handle because we can't manage to open the door from the inside. Serial # 10M56X270989, model # WCM27RQ.
  • Go to the Winnebago site and download the information.
    https://winnebagoind.com/product-resources/product-information
  • My web search shows a number of hits for "Winnebago parts." None of those helped?
  • All the Winnebago site link had was a product brochure. :( Interesting but doesn't help with my current problem.

Winnebago parts seems to have the inside panel but not the outside or the mechanism, or if they do I can't find it - their site isn't the best designed sales site I've ever seen.
  • On the Winnebago site go to the bottom right side of the page and download the Pdf files they have the wiring and parts. They are under Manuals and Diagrams.

Phone them, the lady I talked to, knew exactly what I wanted and was able to tell me the differences between similar parts.

  • I called the place that's close to Winnebago, got a very knowledgable-sounding man who confidently told me what I needed to order. I paid an obscene amount of money to have it shipped overnight. We'll see Monday if he was right. I really need to take the MH up to our eclipse spot this week so I'm not fighting insane traffic in an unfamiliar vehicle, and it would help if I could open the door!

Try this companyWinnebago parts, they are not owned by Winnebago Industries, but they buy excess stock from Winnebago and resell.

I agree, I have had good luck finding Winnebago parts there.
