I'm not sure what your other requirements are, but literally every 1DIN radio they sell is cross compatible. I have a Pioneer in my wish list because it has a real factory steering wheel control built for the radio, not an after market.

Take a look at THIS and see if it's what you are looking for.

Our 2002 E450 dash was also 1.5-DIN. I got a 1.0-DIN AM/FM/HD/CD/USB with remote control from Amazon for about $100. Daughter's Explorer about that age was 2.0-DIN and those super-fancy stereo's would fit. I guess Ford (and it would seem GM) thought a mere van owner wouldn't want such luxury.
Here's one in in JVC Brand from Amazon, less than I paid for our Dual brand a few years ago. And its picture:. I used the install kit (metal "can" that came with the new unit, and wired it color-to-color like the original. Ours was a Panasonic. Since it was also 1.0-DIN, an 0.5-DIN filler was already there. It forms a little tray below the radio. I made the wiring up first with wire nuts. Tested and found it worked exactly as it should. Went back with Red Butt Connectors. A very easy project.

There are a bunch of single-DIN receivers with CD players available at Cruchfield, 77 listed when I checked: Clicky. I'm not sure, but maybe you misunderstood the advisor on that, or maybe they were thinking that you wanted an external CD changer or something along those lines.

If there's room above or below the radio in the dashboard, it may be possible to do some trimming and modification and fit a double-DIN radio in. I know that's possible on the Ford E-series chassis (which use a somewhat taller than 1 1/2 but not quite double-DIN radio from the factory, at least in some model years).

You aren't going to find one. I have never had a problem with Crutchfield responding to me. Bug them again.. I just went through this with an 06 CRV as well as looking for replacements for the RV.

You are going to end up with a 1.5 to 1DIN adapter in the dash, and after that you have options from many manufacturers. They will also likely tell you they don't have that DIN adapter, in which case you will likely need to go to Magnadyne for it at around $20. If you stick with a 1.5DIN, the options are very few and most are junk

When I did that with my Ford I found a local "car audio" shop that had a good reputation and let them do it. The cost was very reasonable.

I suggest that you look at and read the manual for the radio BEFORE you buy it or have it installed. I really don't like the controls on mine and wouldn't choose that model again.

What your measurements indicate is a 1.5 DIN. It's a little taller than the "normal" single DIN chassis but not a full double DIN. It's probably the least common size but their out there. It's what a lot of Chevy's from that era used. Crutchfield can sell you an adapter to put in a single DIN radio which are very common and cheap. Or, you can look around for a 1.5 DIN and get a little bit larger display and controls. That's what I did in my '05 Chevy truck. I have a JVC unit and I really like the size.
If Crutchfield doesn't know the answer than nobody does. Maybe you got a new guy that didn't know.

The Jensen is a after market radio/stereo. Four Winds may have installed a adapter to make the Jensen fit. OEM opening on the GM vans chassis was a double DIN.

Yes I did it as recomand me the speakers, but they suggest me some stereos too big for the hole I have.

I 've asked them but don't have an answer.
