New 450 Lxi home

Why wouldn't it fire up? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Lucky You....A Bluebird has always been a dream coach for me and 450 Lxi is a beauty. Did you just top off that 300 gallon tank? Enjoy that Beautiful Ride!!!

I did not give the specifics of the issues with the coach so let me explain.

The coach was low on diesel. We drove it about 10 miles to a diesel station to fill up. The low fuel light was on. It was running fine. When stopped we turned it off. The air dumped and the coach tilted to the left. The fuel pick up is in the right side of the fuel tank. Filled her up and no dice. I will go into more detail in the breakdown thread. I was fortunate to find an excellent great mechanic that came out to us and got the coach going.

In addition to Good Same Roadside Assistance Program...
And the Pilot/Flying J discount credit card...

Next week I will get the 4 years warranty transferred into my name...
Hopefully I won't need it too much...

Unfortnately the coach would not fire up...
Was able to locate a local mechanic that got us running...
Also had an issue with the tires that required a tire service call...
With that out of the way smooth sailing for 240 miles...
Coach runs great...
Very stable, and the 525 Cat is strong...

Hopefully the weight problem was resolved with the recall.

who was previous owner?

Had a 1991 Wanderlodge for a number of years. Bluebird made some great motorhomes and is one company I wished could have held their operation together.

Anyways your fuel problem brought to mind a trip we did where we had a tail wind and we drove from Atlanta to Fargo, ND before we had to refuel. The exit was a button hook and about 2/3's of the way around the engine started missing. Luckily it came out of it and we made it to the pump. I don't recall the exact amount in gallons it took to fill the 300 gallon tank, but I do remember it was a bit over $1100.00.

Mine had a Detroit 8V92. Good power but poor fuel economy..4-6mpg. When I sold it, it had over 200,000 miles on it, was still solid as a rock and ran like a top. If it would have had some slide outs I'd still be driving it.

I see they still have those two 450 LXI's on the Bluebird Forum...what year did you say yours was? The two listed are 2006 I think.
