I would advise anyone to get some professional opinions from body shop owners in rural areas.
I usually travel during the night, I thought it was a good idea until my body shop owners advised me against it.
They told me most grill guards cause more damage than no grill guard and have seen them break apart and hit the windshield etc.
The thinner tubes can fly off upon impact and become projectiles. That's something you don't need to happen, especially that close to your head and face . Those signs should read 'I duck for deer' not 'I brake for deer'.
I do agree and I thought that this is a pretty good hefty grill guard but a good size deer is...a good hit . The middle part of that grill looks more stout the outer ends and that's what would concern me.
Lets just hope none of us hit a deer or anything for that matter.
