New member question on Lazy Daze for sale

Hello,

I joined today to see if you had a classified section where people post rigs for sale and rigs that are wanted to buy. I never could get the classified link to open up so I'll post my question here.

Just bought a new 27' Lazy Daze (2013) from the factory. Purchased last month (March), has only 3100 miles on it. Just bought a toad but had not installed hitch yet. Wife and I decided after dreaming about full-timing for two years, this is not what we want to do.

My question is, does the classified section on the forum usually work and would that be the proper section to place an ad for sale or should I post it in another section.

Any advice would be appreciated. We have been reading your forum posts for years and have always enjoyed all the helpful information posted.

Thank you all.

  • I'm not a fan of Yahoo, either, particularly after the lash-up that they've created on the message boards, but you may well find that you will have to list your contact information, including a phone number, with any of the 'RV classified' sites you choose to advertise that new LD with.

And, JMHO, but putting your new rig on a consignment lot is the *worst* way to sell it, primarily because you'll take a big financial hit by doing it this way!

What is your objection to having your phone number with Yahoo? Do you think it will compromise your 'privacy' or encourage more telemarketing calls or emails? I have not found that giving Yahoo (or Amazon, or any number of other 'reputable' sites) a phone number makes one whit of difference to anything, but YMMV.

The LD message board is a great resource for any and all things Lazy Daze, and many buyers and sellers have found their 'dream rig' in the 'Buying and Selling' files. Up to you, certainly.

Sorry you can't use your new rig; good luck.

Thanks for the reply! I think I posted my reply twice to the same person above. This posting site is a little confusing for me.

    Ed,

I would start with the Lazy Daze forum. There is a for sale section. But, let me say that in this economy, you might have to look to sell at other places, too. Lazy Daze are great rvs (we are on our second one), and often sell rather quickly, especially one like your's that is relatively new, but due to the price, they are sometimes harder to sell. Best wishes.

Thank you very much for your reply. We looked on the Lazy Daze forum for their classifieds but you have to sign up at yahoo to do that. When we went to Yahoo to sign up they now require you to put in your phone number which we will not do. We will supply it to someone privately, but not list it on Yahoo.

  • Hi,

Items are not allowed to be listed for sale on the forums.

I think you have a very high quality rv. Perhaps keep it for vacationing?
