- MikeRPExplorerI have the tires but my fronts are 3611. The rears have the e2 designation exactly the same as chinrv above. So does that mean mine were made the 36th week of 2011, exactly within the recall? Is that the way you guys read it?

I saw it mentioned on the news. They had a picture of an M/S 2 tire though. - HandbasketExplorerThe recall even got mentioned on ABC's national news this morning.

I had six tires replaced last spring. I checked front and rear outside tires, they are higher than the four digit number range, will check the other two outsiders. May have to take rig in to friendly Allen Tire store to check numbers on inside duals if I can't make them out with a dental mirror.
I think the recall goes to the last day they manufactured them in June 12 for the LTX M/S.
If yours say LTX M/S 2, then they are not in the recall and you donot need to check the date codes.
They look different also:

- ratfink09ExplorerI could only find the manufacture dates on my front tires (3910} and (3710). Dates were not on the outside rear tires. Do I need to have rears pulled to check dates? What a pain, but would rather have a recall than more risk of a blow out on the road. Of course I was trying to look after a foot of snow that fell last night!
- NWnativeExplorerChecked mine today. Looks like I will be getting 6 new tires. Forgot to check spare so might be 7. Mine are all 0412 dates.

Michelin and other tire companies should have information on file and be able to contact original owners/buyers to notify them directly that their tires are on recall.
One would think that would be the case but some dealers do not register the tires with the manufacturers. In some cases when the tires are registered, the manufacturers will wait for someone to contact a dealer before replacing ones that are defective.
