Try rolling it back out, but stop it when the roller has the long slide opening from end to end. The area where you can insert a sun screen or where the manual awnings have their strap slide. Then try rolling it back up. This happened to me as I had over extended the awning. Worth a try...if not, suggestion above, zip ties or good bungee cords. Mine did act loose on the way home from a trip. Thought it would take the whole awning off.
