I miss-quoted the year, its a new 2013.
After corispondence with Jayco owners we will look elswhere.

GOOD Dealers are also warranty stations for almost all the appliances. But, Jayco DOES warranty the appliances and Jayco items for 2 years. IF the Appliance maker only warrants for 1 year, Jayco provides the extra year. Doug

Does your awning have a wind control sensor? If it does, there should be a control box in one of your bays. You might want to take a look at the control box. They usually have LED's telling you what's going on.

We are considering the purchase of a 2015 Embark. The salesman told us that all appliances were covered under the manufacturers warranty, not Jayco.
Now I am having second thoughts on the purchase if you have had that many issues. We are full-timers and do not wish to spend our time at a repair facility. Not a very good endorsement for Jayco.

I believe you are mistaken. Jayco does not warrent sub assemblies such as awnings, refrigerators, water haters, furnaces etc. Each is warrented by the manufacturer, just as the chassis.

Who is mistaken? I work for and service Jayco at a dealership and have serviced Jayco's for 25 years:B Jayco has a 1 stop warranty. Besides, it "may" be an install problem. Chassis and batteries are the only thing a Jayco dealer cannot warranty. Doug

If you're still under warranty, then why are you fooling with it yourself? Is the awning stuck in the open position? How do you know that you're not making the problem worse?
